Before every session, I get a little nervous. I have no idea what is going to happen, what light we’ll get, how comfortable the couple will be and what backgrounds we’ll find. The Atwater Market is one of my favourite spots, not only does it have beautiful displays of fruits, vegetables, flowers, pumpkins or Christmas trees, depending on the season, but it also is close to the Canal and Notre-Dame Street. Plenty of options to choose from. I knew meeting Jasmine and Baz at the Market, a few minutes walking distance from their home, was a safe bet.
And then!
And then…the couple! I already had a pretty good idea of how cool they were, having met them a few weeks beforehand around a glass of wine to discuss the details of their wedding. Plus, Jasmine had replied that she was down for all babies to crash meetings when I joked about bringing mine if we met on a certain day. It was clear, we’d get along! The photos will speak for themselves on how cool, laid-back and good looking they are and on how much fun we had walking around the market, Baz joyfully acting silly and smootching his girl every chance he got, and how Billie, their (very friendly!) dog is clearly part of the trio!
I am so looking forward to their wedding next year. They chose Mckiernan Luncheonette for their ceremony and reception, it feels like a perfect fit!
